Pie Shell, Butter

Yield: two 9" crusts (or one bottom and one top shell)

You will need a food processor.

  1. Insert knife blade in food processor.
  2. Place the following in the food processor:

all-purpose flour (run the blade a few times)

salt
1/2
c
butter (frozen and cut into 6 pieces)

  1. Process until butter is evenly cut into flour (about 20 seconds).
  2. With processor on, quickly add all at once:

cold water

until the dough forms a ball (about 20-30 seconds)

  1. Remove dough and divide it in half.
  2. Chill 1/2 hour before using, if necessary.
  3. Roll dough and place in pie pan.
