Anginettes

Yield: six dozen cookies.

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Sift these dry ingredients together

baking powder

  1. Cream together

1/2
c
butter
1/2
c
shortening

  1. Blend in (at medium speed until light)

1-1/2
c
sugar
1
t
anise extract
1
t
lemon extract
1
t
vanilla extract

  1. Refrigerate until dough is stiff (about two hours).
  2. Shape dough into one inch balls.
  3. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet for 15 minutes.
  4. Allow cookies to cool.
  5. Mix the following together to make the frosting

confectioner's sugar
2-1/2 to 3

milk
1-1/2
t
anise or lemon extract

  1. Frost and sprinkle nonpareils on top.
